Design note
A room for attention
An imagined place can invite curiosity while leaving movement and attention in the reader’s hands.
The Reading Room is an imagined library-observatory: books, living trees, firelight and a sky beyond the dome. It is an invitation to linger, not a photograph of a real room or a scientific sky chart.
Atmosphere is optional.
The room begins still. A visitor can switch the atmosphere off, or deliberately enable its gentle changing light. Reduced-motion preferences take priority. The selected book remains a readable catalogue record when the illustration is hidden.
A different kind of curiosity.
The geometric study below the room is generated by a stated mathematical curve. Turning its view changes the projection, not the curve. Its formula and fixed drawing remain available independently of animation.
Keep the categories visible.
Imagined architecture, an exact geometric construction and catalogue metadata can share a page without making the same kind of claim. Naming those differences helps the reader enjoy the scene and still know what can be checked.
